Metsamorskij Marz
2017-2018
The Armenian NPP is a nuclear power plant built from 1969 to 1977 on the territory of the Armenian SSR near the city of Metsamor. It consists of two power units with VVER-440 type reactors.
By 2014, the safety systems of the power unit were improved and maintained in proper condition during operation, but the equipment of power generation systems such as turbines, transformers, and pumps was almost at the limit of functionality.
In 2014, Rosatom and the Ministry of energy of Armenia signed an agreement on modernization of the Armenian nuclear power plant in order to extend the life of the 2nd unit of the APP until 2026.
As part of the project to modernize the Armenian NPP, Energeticheskiy Standart LLC delivered the following equipment:
- two (2) 220 kV block transformers of 280 MVA type TDC-280000/220-U1 manufactured BY PJSC Zaporizhtransformator»;
- six (6) condensate electric pump units KSV-500-150 produced by JSC " Sumy NPO»;
